Shoptet SEO setup means your Shoptet store gets correct titles, descriptions, URLs and indexing, categories built around what people actually search for, and a connected Search Console. Shoptet has a decent SEO foundation; the problem is usually not the platform but how the store is filled: “Sale”, “New” and “Other” categories, products copied from the supplier, empty descriptions. I set up what can be set up in Shoptet and tell you straight what can’t. From €490.

Why Shoptet stores don’t grow on Google?
Shoptet gives you the technical foundation, but it won’t do your SEO for you. What matters is how the categories are built, what’s in the titles and descriptions, and what you let into the index. This is what I see on Shoptet stores most often:
Categories that mirror the warehouse
The category structure copies the warehouse or the supplier, not what customers search for. Important queries have no page at all.
Empty category descriptions
A category has only a product grid, no text, no H1 with a keyword. Google doesn’t know why it should show it.
Supplier copy
The same product descriptions as on 20 other stores. Google shows one of them, and it may not be you.
Changed URLs without redirects
After renaming a category or product, the old address returns a 404 and you lose rankings and links.
Titles are just product names
No template, no keyword; Google shows “Product | Store name”.
Search Console not connected
Nobody knows what Google indexes, which queries bring impressions or where the errors are.
What others get wrong: they buy an add-on that promises “automatic SEO”, or have AI generate hundreds of descriptions without checking them. Or they stuff keywords into product names until they’re unreadable. The right order is to build categories around what people search for first, and only then write the copy.
What I do in a Shoptet SEO setup
Settings review
SEO settings in the admin, title templates, indexing, robots, sitemap, and what from Shoptet ends up in the index.
Search Console
Verifying the store, submitting the sitemap, checking indexing, errors and the queries that already bring impressions.
Titles, meta and H1s
For your 10 main categories (30 in the €890 package) plus product templates, so Google doesn’t just show the name.
URLs and redirects
Clean category and product URLs, 301 redirects from old addresses, fixing the most frequent 404s.
Filters and pagination
Checking what from filters, sorting and pagination gets into the index and what shouldn’t.
Category structure
Which categories are missing, which to merge and how to name them based on real searches.
Products and duplicates
Checking duplicate supplier descriptions and recommending which products to rewrite first.
Schema and rich results
Reviewing the structured data Shoptet outputs and what to add via HTML snippets.
The videos are in Slovak; YouTube can show automatic English subtitles.
Shoptet SEO setup pricing
| Package | Who it’s for | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Shoptet SEO setup | A Shoptet store that wants its SEO foundation in order. Review, setup, Search Console, redirects and the 10 main categories. Most popular. | €490 |
| Setup + categories and keywords | On top of the setup: keyword research for 30 categories, titles, meta, H1s, a proposal for category structure and linking, and copy outlines for your copywriter. | €890 |
Prices are final; we are not VAT registered. Done within 10 business days of receiving access. I work within what Shoptet and your plan allow; anything the platform doesn’t support I tell you upfront, along with a workaround or a request for Shoptet support.
How it works
Two weeks of work directly in the Shoptet admin. I need access to the Shoptet admin (an account with content and settings permissions is enough) and to Search Console. If you don’t have it, we’ll set it up together.
1
Review (week 1). Settings, index, Search Console, categories and products. I send a list of findings and proposed changes.
2
Setup (week 2). Titles, meta, H1s, URLs, redirects, indexing, and in the €890 package categories based on keywords.
3
Follow-up (after 30 days). I check indexing and the first changes in impressions in Search Console and recommend the next steps.
What you get on top

Send your store’s address and within one business day I’ll tell you the 3 biggest SEO mistakes I see on it.
30-day follow-up

Who does it
RNDr. Milan Fraňo, PhD., HEAD of SEO at WooAcademy. Although I build most stores on WooCommerce, Shoptet is the most common platform in Slovakia and the Czech Republic and I work on Shoptet stores regularly. I don’t promise anything Shoptet doesn’t technically allow, and if another platform would serve you better, I’ll tell you.

Frequently asked questions about Shoptet SEO
Is Shoptet good for SEO?
Yes, it’s enough for most stores. It handles the technical basics like the sitemap, editable URLs, titles and descriptions. The limits are in template customization and advanced technical changes. Success on Google depends mostly on categories and content.
How much does Shoptet SEO setup cost?
Setup with your 10 main categories is €490; setup with keyword research and 30 categories is €890. Prices are final; we are not VAT registered.
Do I need an SEO add-on for Shoptet?
Usually not. The essentials can be set up directly in the admin. Add-ons help with bulk edits, but they don’t replace keyword selection and copy.
Will you write category and product descriptions too?
In this service you get titles, meta, H1s and copy outlines. Writing the descriptions is a separate SEO copywriting service, because its scope varies a lot from store to store.
What about supplier product descriptions?
Rewriting them all at once rarely makes sense. I’ll recommend which products to rewrite first based on traffic and margin; the rest can wait.
Do I need to change my Shoptet plan?
Usually not for the SEO setup. If a feature requires a higher plan or an add-on, I’ll tell you in advance, along with whether it’s worth it.
When will I see results?
Indexing and title fixes usually show on Google within a few weeks. New and reworked categories need 2 to 6 months to rank, depending on competition.
